The laughter of other children became a distant echo in my mind, a sound I longed to hear but could not touch. Life could have ended there, in loneliness and despair. But in the midst of my darkest chapter, a miracle found me. A Families with eyes full of compassion reached out, not just to feed me or clothe me, but to love me as their own.
They became my parent in every way that mattered. Through them, I learned what it meant to be cherished, protected, and valued. Their arms became my safe haven, and their love lit a fire in me, a fire to give back that same hope to other children who have been left in the shadows.
That fire is now The Cherish Impact Initiative. I know what it means to be unseen, unheard, and unloved. I also know what it feels like when someone believes you matter.
This is why we fight for vulnerable and underserved children, because no child should ever feel like they were a mistake, and no dream should be buried because of life’s unfair beginnings. Today, my pain has become my purpose. Every meal we serve, every child we shelter, every smile we restore is a promisec, that no matter where they come from, They are Cherished.

Deborah Oluwatamilore Akinde
Founder & Executive Director
Deborah’s story is the soul of The Cherish Impact Initiative. Abandoned at the age of five, she knew the deep ache of feeling unwanted. Her life took a beautiful turn when a loving woman adopted her, restoring her hope and dignity. This life-changing love inspired her to dedicate her life to vulnerable children ensuring they, too, feel cherished and valued. Today, Deborah leads the organization with empathy, vision, and relentless dedication, believing that love can rewrite any story. Every project, outreach, and act of kindness is her way of giving back what she once desperately needed hope.
Juwon Clinton Ogunshola
Community Lead
Juwon is the bridge between The Cherish Impact Initiative and the communities we serve. With a genuine love for people, he steps into neighborhoods, villages, and streets to connect with families and identify children in need. His warmth makes him approachable, and his deep understanding of community challenges ensures we reach the most vulnerable. Juwon is not just a leader he’s a listener, a problem-solver, and an advocate. He believes that when a child feels seen, they begin to dream. His work ensures that no child is hidden in the shadows of hardship, but instead, brought into the light of opportunity.
Joel Chuku
Project Manager
Joel is the master planner who turns vision into impact. Every project we undertake passes through his careful hands, from the first spark of an idea to the moment lives are transformed. He ensures that our initiatives are not just well-organized, but also deeply rooted in the real needs of the children we serve. Joel has an eye for detail and a heart for service, balancing logistics with compassion. For him, success is measured not just in numbers, but in the smiles of children whose lives are better because of his work.

Finance Director
Joshua is the guardian of trust when it comes to our resources. He manages every donation and financial decision with transparency, integrity, and the understanding that each naira represents someone’s belief in our mission. For Joshua, accounting isn’t just numbers it’s about ensuring that every cent is used to change lives. His commitment to stewardship ensures that the children we serve receive the maximum benefit from every gift. Secretary
Oluwatosin is the quiet strength behind our daily operations. She ensures meetings are seamless, records are accurate, and communication flows smoothly. She understands that behind every document and schedule is a child waiting for help. Antoinette is the voice and storyteller of The Cherish Impact Initiative. She speaks for children who cannot speak for themselves, shaping narratives that inspire compassion and action. Her work extends beyond public statements. She builds lasting partnerships, raises awareness, and ensures that our mission is heard far and wide. Antoinette has a gift for turning facts into stories that touch hearts, helping people understand that behind every statistic is a child with dreams. She believes that words, when used with love and truth, can move mountains and she uses hers to rally the world for the cause of vulnerable children.

Social Media Manager

She understands that social media isn’t just about likes and shares, it’s about building a community that believes in change.
